<aside> 💡 |Collaborative|Just-In-Time|Port-Call|™ is a service provided to liner companies (ships) and ports (terminals) through the 'Trade Logistics Data Platform' built by the Tongyang Systems consortium under the supervision of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries in 2021. It provides eco-friendly platform services for sharing information and efficient management of vessel operation and berth operation.

1. |Collaborative|Just-In-Time|Port-Call|™ Service Introduction

Liner company (ships) and ports (terminals) share information timely on vessel operation plans and berth operation plans for vessel arrival, berthing, loading-unloading, and departure via the |Collaborative|Just-In-Time|Port-Call|™ standard data and procedures. Therefore, real-time sharing enables more economical ship operation and efficient berth operation.

Through |Just-In-Time|Port-Call|™ service, the port (terminal) establishes a berth operation plan based on the expected arrival time from the liner company (ship), makes a request for the arrival of the required vessel when necessary, and the port (terminal) decide the final ship's berth plan according to a mutual agreement, and then liner company reflects it on the ship's speed for smooth terminal berth operation.

In the process of establishing the ship operation plan and berth operation plan, the |Collaborative|Just-In-Time|Port-Call|™ service supports the decision-making for optimized operation plan and operation plan through the Dynamic Schedule Simulation and Optimum Berth Planning functions.

In addition, the port (terminal) provides real-time information of the ship's loading and unloading operation status, dramatically improving the visibility of container handling according to the loading and unloading operations as well as the ship operation for the liner company (ship).

  1. |Collaborative|Just-In-Time|Port-Call|™ standard data and procedures applies ETA-ETB-ETD, RTB-RTD, PTB-PTD, ATA-ATB-ATD information is communicated between the liner company (ship) and the port (terminal) according to the standard data format. (DCSA Just In Time Port Call applied)
  2. Efficient ship operation planning through Dynamic Schedule Simulation The ship operation plan is simulated in consideration of the real-time terminal berth operation status and quay crane operation status, and is quantitatively evaluated and applied to actual ship operation. (Applying the AHP - Analytic Hierarchy Process methodology)
  3. Efficient terminal berth operation plan simulated through Optimum Berth Planning The most efficient port (terminal) berth operation plan is established by utilizing AIS information and arrival prediction information of ships scheduled to call, and by exchanging ship arrival/departure information in a timely manner with liner companies (ships). (AIS, Predicted ETA applied)
  4. Sharing of real-time cargo handling plan and cargo handling status information Share individual quay crane work plans and status in real-time, including indicators with standardized terminal productivity and crane concentration calculation logic. (Standard Terminal/QC Productivity, QC Intensity applied)
  5. Visualized vessel schedule, terminal berth operation, and quay crane operation information sharing Through the intuitively understandable Visual Schedule, Visual Berth, and Visual QC Working, users can share visible information on vessel schedule, terminal berth operation, and quay crane operation.
